New Enrollment Period for 2012 Medicare Advantage and Part D plans

The Annual Enrollment Period for Medicare Advantage and Part D plans with a January 2012 effective date begins October 15, 2011 and ends December 7, 2011 at midnight.

2012 Medicare Advantage and Part D plans will be available for review on the Medicare website beginning October 1, 2011. Medicare Advantage plans are County specific and Part D plans are State specific.

What is a Scope of Appointment Form?

In order for an insurance agent to speak with you about Medicare Advantage and Part D plans prior permission must be obtained. The Scope of Appointment Form outlines which types of Medicare plans an agent can discuss with you. The form generally must be obtained prior to a sales meeting and requires your signature.

No Medicare plan information can be shared prior to an agent receiving your Scope of Appointment form.
